Your tree should be placed in water as soon as you arrive home. If four hours or more have passed since cutting time, we recommend that you saw a 1/2" off the trunk before placing the tree in water. This will help insure good water intake.

If you are unable to decorate the tree on the same day on which it was cut, place the tree in a bucket of water in the garage or some other unheated shady spot.

Your tree will “drink” 1 or 2 gallons of water per day for the first few days—keep plenty of water in the stand!

With each tree we furnish a large tree removal bag which helps take the mess out of tree disposal. We recommend that the bag be fully opened, and the tree with stand be placed in the bottom of the bag. The rest of the bag should then be placed over the stand and covered with the tree skirt (or used as a skirt). After Christmas is over and the ornaments removed, the bag should be pulled over the top of the tree; the tree and stand should then be carried out of the house before the stand is removed.
